Volz & Associates coordinated a project team to perform structural analysis of this 32,230 square foot historic load-bearing masonry building in response to cracks observed in interior walls. The process included a building assessment to determine if the original and very unique second floor auditorium could feasibly be restored to its original size and configuration after numerous modifications over the years had obscured or destroyed much of the space. Investigations analyzed removal of existing walls, floors, HVAC, sprinkler and other systems, and the resulting impact on the remainder of this functional and significant campus administration building.
