Vice President/Architect
John has always been fascinated by the craft and technology used in construction, the color and texture of materials, and eccentricities in design and function that make buildings significant. John has focused his career as an architect on preservation of the spirit and integrity of what is historically and culturally significant in ways that make it relevant to today’s lifestyles. John received his architectural degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his graduate degree in Historic Preservation from Columbia University. He visits historic sites nationally and internationally, and collects mid-19th century lighting, antique tools, period architecture books and trade catalogs. He shares his preservation expertise with a number of non-profit organizations in Texas and nationally.
