Central Christian Church is a landmark in downtown Austin and was designed in the Romanesque Revival style by noted Texas architects Robert Leon White and Samuel Vosper. With a style unique in Central Texas, the building features polychromatic brick masonry, decorative iron grillwork, and a clay tile roof.
Volz & Associates provided a detailed condition assessment of the sanctuary, tower and education wing to enable the church to prioritized goals for building repair and restoration. Detailed recommendations were provided to address a multitude of issues including roof and window leaks, corrosion of structural and decorative metals, and water infiltration.
